Late Jazz at The Maj: Max Wickham Quintet

Maximillian Wickham is a jazz saxophonist and composer studying at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Drawing inspiration from Australian jazz artists such as Barney McAll, Julien Wilson, Tal Cohen and Andrea Keller, Max aims to create music full of passion, emotion and intensity and seeks to blur the lines between the composed and the improvised.

Max considers his compositions to be a framework for his band members to bring their own personality to his music.
