Bigger and better in 2017, WA Youth Jazz Orchestra brings our annual Concert for Schools to the Perth Concert Hall – Thursday 4 May 2017, 7.00pm.
WAYJO’s annual concert aimed at high school students returns, bigger and better at the Perth Concert Hall.

A night of energetic music and fun, the concert will illuminate jazz for high-school aged students and enrich concepts taught within the music syllabus.
Be Bop Jazz is the focus of the first half of the concert, with music by Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker and Ella Fitzgerald.

After interval Big Band Swing by Duke Ellington, Quincy Jones and Thad Jones performed by a full 18-piece big band rounds out the night.
Supported by a slide show featuring history, trivia and music recommendations, Horns in the Hall promises to be a memorable experience for students, parents and teachers alike.

WAYJO is committed to offering the best possible experience for educators and their students. The 2017 Concert for Schools promises to be a memorable experience for music students, and may even provide inspiration for students of visual arts, drama and dance.

Pre-booking for groups is highly advised, we hope to see you there!
