Expression of Interest – Treasurer (Volunteer Board Role)
We are inviting Expressions of Interest for a Treasurer to join our Board.
WAYJO is a leading youth arts organisation creating outstanding musical experiences through performance, education and community engagement. We support young musicians from diverse backgrounds across WA in a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment.
As Treasurer, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s financial sustainability and governance. Working with the Board and leadership team, you’ll provide oversight of financial reporting, budgeting and compliance, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
We’re looking for someone with financial expertise, sound judgement and a genuine connection to the arts and youth development. Board experience is welcome but not essential.
This is a voluntary role requiring attendance at regular Board and Finance Committee meetings. Board meetings are held approximately six times per year, along with occasional concerts and public events. We are seeking a Board member who can attend the majority of meetings and a number of concerts throughout the year.
We encourage applications from people of diverse backgrounds and lived experience, including those from CaLD and disability communities.
Board members play an active role in shaping WAYJO’s vision, supporting our leadership team and advocating for young people through music.
To apply, please contact General Manager Monique Douglas at monique.douglas@wayjo.com
Please share within your networks – we’d love to hear from people who believe in the power of music to change young lives.
