Our annual regional touring program continues to bring big band jazz to communities across WA.

This year’s Women in Big Band tour has so far travelled to Albany, Margaret River and Perth, with sold-out performances celebrating the significant contribution women have made to big band music. The first leg of the tour featured the Dynamic Jazz Orchestra alongside acclaimed jazz musician and educator Sue Bluck.

Next, Sue Bluck and the Catalyst Jazz Orchestra (CJO) heads to Bunbury and the Wheatbelt, with a feature concert at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre (BREC) on Friday 7 August, followed by free pop-up performances at the Williams Woolshed and Narrogin Town Hall on Saturday 8 August.

Alongside the concerts, WAYJO will deliver workshops for local school students, giving young musicians the opportunity to learn from some of WA’s leading jazz artists.

A Playing WA Tour supported by CircuitWest, BREC and Arts Narrogin, WAYJO’s tour aims to strengthen connections in regional communities reflecting our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young musicians across the state.
