The WA Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO) present big-band jazz at the Albany Entertainment Centre for one night only!
The Monday Night orchestra bring toe-tapping jazz stylings as part of their 2019 Act-Belong-Commit South West Regional Tour this May.
The 18-piece jazz orchestra, directed by nationally acclaimed trumpeter Ricki Malet, is inspired by the big bands of the 1930s to the 1960s, led by such icons as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Mel Lewis, Woody Herman and Stan Kenton.
If you’re in Albany, come long and enjoy a grooving night of classic big band repertoire, performed by one of Australia’s leading youth jazz orchestra’s that has been described as one of the country’s cultural gems!
