About WAYJO

Since 1983 the West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO) has been open to performers 14-25 years of age. Performing a range of jazz styles, WAYJO annually commission original big band works, train band leaders, and run pathways educational programs.

Positions in all three big bands are auditioned each year, offering the opportunity to perform at some of Perth’s best venues, work with top band leaders and touring guest artists, plus travel regionally, nationally and internationally.

From community, corporate and private events, to tours and festivals – WAYJO presents something for all ages, venues & budgets.

Interested? Please visit our audition or bookings pages, and subscribe to stay in the loop.
